Susan B. Phillips

She has been a Certified Tax Specialist for over 35 years, a designation from the State Bar of California reserved for a small percentage of attorneys who “demonstrate a high level of experience in the specialty area by meeting specific task and experience requirements.” She is a past chairman of the San Diego County Bar Association Taxation Section.

With a vast breadth of estate planning experience and business and real estate transactional experience, Susan works to make complex legal concepts easily understandable for her clients. She enjoys working closely with individuals to help preserve and protect their assets and prepare for their families and future. As such, Susan builds strong, trusted relationships with each client to ensure she understands their unique family dynamics and desires so she can provide counsel accordingly. Her clients include closely held businesses, real estate entrepreneurs, and lenders.

Before earning a law degree from the New York University School of Law, Susan earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Brandeis University. She has earned the highest rating for attorneys from Martindale Hubbell, and she has also been named a “Super Lawyer,” by Thomson Reuters. Both honors are based on an attorney peer-review process that recognizes outstanding professional achievement and adherence to the highest ethical standards of law practice.
